IPA & Campaign name Gemma Batterby a Woman of Tomorrow

We are thrilled to announce that our New Business Director, Gemma Batterby, is one of ten extraordinary women named by the IPA and Campaign as a Woman of Tomorrow. The 15 judges were looking for women in mid-senior level roles who consistently demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities and go beyond their brief.

The results were revealed at the Awards Ceremony on International Women’s Day where all thirty-three women shortlisted, from nearly 200 nominations, were celebrated. Game-changers, women to watch, women of the future – the ten finalists were feted by the industry.
Claire Beale, Women of Tomorrow co-chair and Campaign’s global editor-in-chief commented, “To me, what helped the winners stand out was not how they shouted about their achievements but how they acknowledged their strengths and weaknesses and had a drive to succeed on their terms and only if they could lift others up with them.”
IPA’s President Sarah Golding, Women of Tomorrow Co-Chair and CEO, The&Partnership London explained why The Awards are so important for the industry, “We simply aren’t seeing enough women reach senior leadership roles despite a phenomenal pool of female talent. We had nearly 200 entries, all from remarkable, talented women – and initiatives like the Women of Tomorrow Awards bring their brilliance to the fore.”
Our CEO Michelle Whelan summed up, “We’re all absolutely delighted. It’s a huge recognition of Gemma’s talent, her attitude to help, lead and guide people. And her relentless commitment to everything she does. We’re incredibly lucky to have Gemma at Geometry, she’s a very special lady.”
Debbie Ellison, our Head of Digital, was also named Woman to Watch in 2016, the last time round the awards took place.
